Feel the Power of Vastu through Paintings

As we all know Vastu is ..................a Hindu tradition of space design to promote harmony with natural forces. It is a word derived from Sanskrit language. Its root word is Vas and Tun is a suffix. This is the linguistic etymology of `Vastu` which means—an art of house construction, built by a human being. Not only living house, Industry, office, Factory are also a Vastu. Remember Every Creation is a VASTU .It also protects a building from obstacles, natural calamities & upheavals. In fact, Vastu is the name of five elements, like Earth, Water, Space, Air, and Wind, which remain united in a laid down proportion &ratio. Because proper balance amongst these five elements generates ‘Bio-electric magnetic energy’ which bestows excellent health, wealth, prosperity and comforts.

Paintings play a vital role in home and office if placed as per vastu shastra hence placing them at proper location is important to get vastu benefits. Vastu says, North, North-East and East walls are best fitted for photos, photo frames, mirrors and photos or pictures of Gods that we worship to get real benefits. As per vastu, North-East location is considered as best for placing paintings of natural scenery at your home. Similarly all type of paintings and frames have their own location and effects in vastu.
You should place paintings of scenes like group of running horses, sunrise with ocean, sea, laughing Buddha or laughing children, flowers, mountains and waterfalls, gold and similar beautiful paintings at your home and office. These paintings bring peace of mind when anybody looks at them.
As per vastu, the RUNNING HORSES Painting is very effective and plays a vital role in member’s life of the home where present. As per vastu, it is said that running horse painting effects in getting rid of the finance problem. We cannot deny that everything revolves around money in practical world however we also assume money is not everything. But when it comes to the business or profit and loss, everybody is concerned about money.

Horses, specifically 7 white galloping horses with rising sun in the background, have a great significance in Vastu. Horses, in Vastu, represent success and power.
Feng Shui recommends hanging horses’ painting in the living room near the entrance of the house to activate wealth and good luck energy in your home. Feng Shui horse painting is full of Yang (positive) energy which intensifies good fortune and brings recognition luck, fame, and respect.

It is advisable that while selecting the painting of galloping horses, it should be kept in mind that the horses should emote happiness in their expressions and not anger. Also take care to avoid hanging painting that consist of abstract broken images of horses as this creates a distorted image in the mind and may confuse chi energy (natural energy) to enter into your home.

The direction of the galloping horses is very important.  While hanging the painting, one should make sure that it faces one’s home i.e. the horses coming towards your home and not away from your home.
Our Vastu & Feng Shui collections are developed in consultation with Vastu & Feng Shui expert and are based on principals of Vastu & Feng Shui.

History of Art

Fresco from Ajanta caves, c. 450–500

Indian painting has a very long tradition and history in Indian Art. The earliest Indian paintings were the rock paintings of pre - historic times. Some of the Stone Age rock paintings found among the Bhimbetka rock shelters are approximately 30,000 years old.  The paintings of the Ajanta Caves  are the most significant of the few survivals.  Mughal painting represented a fusion of the Persian miniature with older Indian traditions, and from the 17th century its style was diffused across Indian princely courts of all religions, each developing a local style. Company paintings were made for British clients under the British raj, which from the 19th century also introduced art schools along Western lines, leading to modern Indian painting, which is increasingly returning to its Indian roots. Indian paintings provide an aesthetic continuum that extends from the early civilisation to the present day. From being essentially religious in purpose in the beginning, Indian painting has evolved over the years to become a fusion of various cultures and traditions.
